Marie Mechinus is a Certified Academic Language Therapist who received her training through Rawson Saunders in Austin, Texas. Throughout her career, she has worked in both public and private school settings, supporting students with dyslexia and related learning differences.
While Marie has valued each of these experiences, her greatest passion is working one-on-one with students. Individualized instruction allows her to tailor lessons to each student’s unique learning profile, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate the growth and confidence that develop over time.
Most recently, Marie served as the Director of Educational Content and Publishing at the International Dyslexia Association, where she focused on developing educational resources and supporting the broader dyslexia community. Although she enjoyed this work, she felt called to return to direct student instruction and the meaningful connection that comes from working closely with families and learners.
Marie is excited to reopen her private practice and currently offers academic language therapy, dyslexia assessments, and dyslexia screenings.
